California still target for shopping centers

Commercial developers continue to invest in the California area of St. Mary's County, as the Wildewood Center was recently sold to a new company for $28.4 million.
SJS Wildewood LP sold the shopping center through Scheer Partners to Finmarc Management of Bethesda. Opened in 1989 and renovated in 1998, the Wildewood Center has 292,000 square feet and has more than 50 stores and restaurants.
